Antiques & used books · Historic Galena, Illinois
Since 1991, two Main Street shops packed with antiques, collectibles and more than 50,000 used books — a roadside collection worth the trip to downtown Galena.
Our story
Peace of the Past has been part of downtown Galena since 1991 — a genuine roadside collection that spilled into a second storefront somewhere along the way. Today two Main Street shops hold more than 50,000 used books alongside antiques, primitives, pottery, jewelry, art and a well-known Civil War collection.
Wander the aisles and call ahead before you make the trip; you never quite know what you'll find.
